Project overview
Tsamym is a UAE-based multi-partner e-commerce platform designed to redefine how women shop for fashion by combining custom tailoring, ready-made apparel, and fabric sourcing into a single digital experience.
The core challenge was to build a platform that not only serves end customers but also empowers tailoring businesses and vendors to operate digitally with ease. The solution needed to handle:
-
Complex product customization workflows (for tailoring)
-
A multi-vendor marketplace model
-
Multilingual accessibility for both users and partners
-
Scalable infrastructure to support growth in the UAE market
To address these requirements, we developed a complete ecosystem consisting of:
-
A mobile application for customers (iOS & Android)
-
A Partner Portal for vendors and tailoring service providers
-
A Centralized Admin Portal
-
A Headless CMS for dynamic content management
Our Approach
We followed a product-first, scalable architecture approach, ensuring the platform could evolve with business growth while maintaining a seamless user experience.
1. Designing a Seamless Shopping Experience
We focused on simplifying the customer journey despite the complexity of offerings:
-
Users can explore tailoring services, fabrics, and ready-made products within a unified interface
-
Introduced list and gallery views for better browsing flexibility
-
Advanced filtering and sorting options to improve product discovery
-
Built structured product detail pages with:
-
Brand and partner identity
-
Product categories and sliders (fabrics, designs, ready-to-wear)
-
Promotional and discounted sections
-
For tailoring services, we enabled a guided customization flow, allowing users to submit stitching requirements easily.
2. Enabling a Multi-Partner Marketplace
Tsamym was architected as a multi-partner platform where multiple vendors can:
-
Register and onboard through structured workflows
-
Manage their own inventory and services
-
Maintain independent branding within the platform
This approach ensures scalability while supporting a diverse ecosystem of tailoring businesses and fashion vendors.
3. Building a Powerful Partner Portal
The partner portal was designed to be simple yet powerful, enabling non-technical users to manage their business digitally.
Key capabilities include:
- Product management (add, edit, delete)
- Tailoring service configuration
- Promotion and discount management
- Taxonomy and category management
- Shop profile and branding updates
To support a diverse workforce, the portal is available in:
- English, Arabic, Hindi, and Urdu
4. Centralized Admin Management
The admin panel acts as the backbone of the platform, providing complete control and visibility over all operations.
Key capabilities include:
- Full control over partners, listings, and approvals
- Product management – create, edit, categorize, and moderate all products across partners
- Order management – track, process, and manage customer orders end-to-end
- Partner management – onboard, approve, manage, and monitor partner performance
- Ability to manage platform-wide promotions and campaigns
- Monitoring and moderation of platform content
- Configuration of categories, banners, and featured sections
This centralized system ensures smooth operations, better governance, and efficient decision-making.
5. CMS-Driven Content Flexibility
We implemented a headless CMS using Strapi to allow dynamic control over:
-
Homepage banners and promotional sections
-
Onboarding screen content for partners
-
Key app content that requires frequent updates
This approach reduces dependency on developers and enables faster marketing execution.
6. Scalable Cloud Architecture
To ensure performance, reliability, and scalability:
-
Amazon S3 is used for secure and efficient media storage
-
Amazon CloudFront CDN ensures fast content delivery across regions
-
The system is optimized for high performance and low latency, which is especially critical for mobile users
7. Multilingual Experience
Localization was a critical requirement for the UAE market:
-
The customer mobile app supports English and Arabic
-
Admin and partner systems support English, Arabic, Hindi, and Urdu
This approach ensures inclusivity and ease of use for both customers and vendors.
